My responsibilities
User research, Defining requirements using the V-model, Sketching, 3D modelling, Rapid Prototyping, Outsourcing to suppliers, Risk Assessment/Management, Writing standard operating procedures, Writing protocols, Executing protocols, Writing reports/records, UX/UI, Animation, Labeling design, User Manual design
Why
There is a need for quick and high-level disinfection of various endoscopes as ENT doctors and assistants face the challenges of enviroment-burdening and cumbersome convential disinfection methods, high patient turnover and resulting stocking of expensive medical equipment.
How
By creating a disinfection technique using UV-C light, non-porous surfaces of products can be quickly disinfected on a high level. Because UV-C inactivates DNA and RNA, no other chemicals are necessary to provide disinfection. UV-C has no negative effect on materials; hereby inserted products are safe from damage.
What
The D60 can perform high-level disinfection of user's items in 60 seconds. Users do not need any liquids, wipes or high-energy consuming disinfectants. Instead, only a regular power socket is required. Insert your item inside the D60, disinfect your hands and take-out your item when the door of the D60 has opened automatically after 60 seconds.
